Our History
In 1996, a group of outdoor enthusiast got all their friends and family together to have a social at Flanner’s Beach to find out what common love they all had with outdoor activities. That summer the New Bern Outdoor Adventure Club was formed and since then our 85+ membership has been together kayaking, canoeing, rafting, cycling, hiking, camping, fishing, geocaching, walking, birding, disc golfing, caving, socializing and more….
Our Purpose
The purpose of the Outdoor Adventure Club (OAC) is to provide opportunities for people with common interests in outdoor activities to participate in those activities together. The OAC is not formed for pecuniary or financial gain, and no part of the assets, income, or profit is distributable to the advisor or officers. We also cooperate with other similar organizations to support the preservation and improvement of natural resources in our area.
